Ozzy

My name is Harry, Iv'e heard it said that I am a King Charles Spaniel which is a type of dog and I believe I'm around 6 years old. My ears are too long my nose too wet and my legs too short but despite this I enjoy my life in North Wales and spend each day being harassed and belittled by my good “friend” Ozzy. Ozzy is as Iv'e heard it said is called a cat, with a large pink belly and very long whiskers which in my opinion makes him a really peculiar creature.

Each morning my two legged friends let me outside to do my ritual leg cocking and squats, I presume this is because they seem adverse to me cocking my leg up against the kitchen table! They feed both myself and Ozzy and then goodbyes are said and off they go, Each time this happens Ozzy and myself look at each other in disbelief, are they really going to leave us alone all day here in this house, to do whatever we like? Are they mad? Or maybe they just do not know what shananigan's we get upto.. well you are about to find out the adventures we embark upon...

Day 1 …

The day starts with Ozzy making the high pitched whining noise that he never tires of making, a sort of meeeow, meeeeow, meeeow, this can means one thing, the day is about to start and the pair upstairs have awaken, Ozzy always becomes alerted to any rumblings and starts his morning chorus I on the otherhand am not so keen on any premature early morning risings.

When I eventually raise my head, I hear slurping from the kitchen, Ozzy's been fed, foul play is afoot here, where's my food? On entering the kitchen the taller human is there doing what he always does, it always seems like some sort of pre leaving the house ritual of packing things into a box and putting on layers and layers of clothes, I suppose those humans get very cold out there without the fur I have, lucky me ,I need to let the taller human know I'm hungry, so I try the “bum shake”, this involves me staying rooted to the spot and shaking side to side, sometimes this works but not today as my human friend seems distracted, must be late for wherever he's going, these humans are always rushing around somewhere, I presume wherever they go everyday is very, very important. The humans treat me well, the taller one sometimes does shout at me but also gives my belly a rub in just the right spot, the more tame, smaller human is more patient with me and usually after some mild persuasion allows me to dump my chunky frame on her lap every night.

Back to the issue of food.. as the “bum shake” is failing me this morning I'm going to have to step things up, I'm a hungry dog and I want some food, how does he expect me to make my way back into the living room and hop back on the sofa if I haven't refuelled! What I will simply do is let out my eardrum busting, window shattering bark, woof, woof, woof, that's all it takes, within 30 seconds I am told to “be quiet” and then my bowl is full of lovely plain, dry biscuits, another result!

Why the mix of humans & religion is absurd...

Why the mix of humans & religion is absurd...

To even whisper the words that religion is absurd, ridiculous or just plain laughable would have you branded a bigot and even in some cases would even put your life in danger.  Why is this? for all you are doing is pointing out the plainly obvious.  The facts are that humans can't even agree on who god is, it's actually estimated there are around 4,200 religions in the world.  Who is right, who is wrong?

Primarily we have Judaism, Christianity of which has to even have various sub divisions, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.  Each one proclaims their religion is the truth and the only one that matters, they can't all be right! and yet this is accepted as acceptable behavior by 59% of the human race.  It seems bizarre that people in intellectual and authoritative positions within the human societal structure follow this way of thinking without even taking a step back and acknowledging the absurdity of it all.  Will the day ever come when future generations can all have a good laugh at what their primitive thinking ancestors really thought.

Rugby

Head coach Jacques Brunel believes Italy's spirit can drive them on to another shock win against a France side who will be out for revenge in Sunday's RBS 6 Nations grudge match at the Stadio Flaminio.

Brunel: Faces a French side out for revenge
Brunel: Faces a French side out for revenge
Les Bleus return to Rome for the first time since Mirco Bergamasco led Italy to a 22-21 home victory in the 2011 championships, France's first ever 6 Nations defeat to the Azzurri.
The French partially atoned for that setback with a 30-12 win in St-Denis last year but Brunel reckons his countrymen are still hurting.
He told the Corriere dello Sport: "I don't speak about what happened two years ago.
"The players remember it but since then both Italy and France have changed a lot - the players, staff, objectives.
"It is certainly an important memory for some of the players but we can't think about it too much.
